RESIDUE MGR Yetter Residue Managers, It’s Easy to Do the Job Right
Adjust the frame height and drawbars so that planter
units closely follow the ground contours.
Set the downpressure spring so that the residue manager
doesn’t go too deep. If the residue manager’s wheels
wheels stop turning, it just means that you’re at the
right depth (i.e., you’re not moving soil). In finely
tilled or soft soil where the planter
may lose flotation, make any additional adjustments
needed to keep the residue manager on top of the soil.
Ground speed affects residue flow, so keep the planter
moving fast enough to let the residue manager do its
job.
Don’t try to move 100% of the residue. It’s not
necessary, and you’ll just end up moving soil, too.
Yetter number is 2967-028 with shark tooth wheels
